Hi, I’m Kate.
My approach to therapy is grounded in curiosity and genuine care. Together, we work to create a space that feels warm, collaborative, and attuned to you. Through exploring your background and what’s been weighing on you, we can begin identifying where meaningful change feels possible. Ultimately, my hope as a therapist is to support real progress by offering a space where people feel deeply cared for and thoughtfully challenged.
Many of the people I support struggle with high anxiety, OCD, overthinking, guilt/shame, relational stress, and trauma. Often, they’re insightful and capable — but caught in mental loops, self-doubt, or patterns that once felt protective and now are exhausting. I integrate a blend of Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and relational therapy — each tailored to you — to understand patterns, gradually navigate stressors, and build deeper connection to you and what matters to you. Lastly, I strongly value a liberation style of therapy that emphasizes understanding systemic issues impacting the human experience, and sees healing as a form of resistance to the systems that try to control/limit us.
Outside of therapy, I value making time for what matters to me too! Whether it’s spending time with family and friends, working on my latest craft, traveling, or hitting up a local farmers market, I prioritize connection and presence. These parts of my world help me show up compassionately in the work that I do each day!
