Hi, I’m Emma.
I was drawn to the work of therapy because I believe no one should have to face life alone. I strive to create a space where clients feel seen, understood, and supported as they navigate life’s inevitable challenges and transitions. My approach is deeply rooted in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), with an integration of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) when helpful. I also recognize that we are shaped by the systems and relationships around us, and I incorporate a systems perspective when it can help us better understand your experiences. At the heart of my work is helping clients develop a deeper, more compassionate relationship with themselves. My goal is to help clients learn to notice their thoughts and emotions with curiosity rather than judgment, and find ways to move through life that feel meaningful and aligned with who they are.
Outside of therapy, I love playing tennis, painting, and binge-watching whatever show has become my latest hyperfixation. I received my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from George Washington University.
